YAY! Mochavan hit 25,000 miles yesterday! The momentous occasion was enroute
to taking the 6y.o. to ballet lessons! Better half and I celebrated with, what
else, mochas from our favorite shop and cookies for the rugrats, with a Sting
CD blasting in all nine speakers.
So far, we've had no real issues and the warranty is up in just about 4months.
The only item not checked off right now is a strange stalling right after
startup sometimes. Ah well, LOF appointment next week, so maybe the
technicians can look at that. Maybe they'll have a 2002 in for me to drive.
Wife didn't want to take a picture of the van at 25,000 because it's, well it's
not exactly Emerald Mica right now... more mud brown since winters making way
for summer, and the roads are ugly.
Well, thought I'd share that... cheers y'all!

Hey, thanks Alex. I'll grab that one and give it to the technician. I'm
working on the other thing, bwt.

Congratulations on your respectful mileage!
Concerning stalling issue... I know that your van is an early build, so it
could be affected by the TSB on stuck fuel pressure regulator. Even though
the van wouldn't start for some time with this problem, I guess the two
might be connected. http://www.vakcer.com/mpv/info/tsb/0100201.htm |

Yesterday Minnie crossed the 25K mark as we were coming back from putting up a fence around the friend's horse corral. It was just a few minutes after we filled up with "good gas" (outside the metro area where the gas isn't reformulated and doesn't cost as much) so I guess we celebrated with a fresh tankful, and 23+ mpg for our previous tankful.
Hard to believe we have put 25,000 miles on her already in 20 months and 10 days, considering how much time she spends just sitting in the garage. But all those long trips put big miles on in short periods of time. And we are now more likely to terminate the warranty due to the 36 months arriving first than the 50,000 miles coming first.
